W-C FFA brings home hardware from District Contest

The Wilber-Clatonia FFA chapter took 13 competitors to the District 5 Leadership Development Events (LDE’s) contest on January 17th. Each of these contestants presented a speech within their significant categories. The results were as such:

Abbey Vales- 3rd purple, State Alternate-Senior Public Speaking

Topanga Rosentreader- Red-Junior Public Speaking

Erika Schwisow-4th Purple, State Alternate-Junior High Discovery Speaking

Jack Fritch-5th Creed Speaking

Rylee Sand-6th Creed Speaking

Ag Demo 1st purple State Qualifier-Bre Zoubek, Lily Zoubek, Mikayla Pecka, Alexis Tachovsky

Ag Demo 2nd Purple State Qualifier-Kory Moldenhauer, Lindsay Homolka, Camryn Evans, Rylee Hayek

The chapter has some important upcoming events, including February 3rd, FFA members will be traveling to Milford to compete in their specific proficiency areas in the District review along with current seniors who will be interviewing for their State Degree.

National FFA Week during the week of Feb. 19-23. The chapter will host a number of activities throughout the week including the FFA supporters breakfast Friday, Feb. 22. All are welcome to attend, the Free will donation breakfast. Also during FFA week, the chapter will be assisting the FFA Alumni with their annual Farm Show at Saline Center on Wed. Feb, 20.
