Great Kindness Challenge
WIlber Clatonia Elementary participated in the 2018 Great Kindness Challenge from Monday, January 22nd - Friday, January 26th. This is where we joined thousands of schools across the country to create a culture of kindness. Students are part of a powerful and positive bullying prevention initiative that will lead to more kindness, unity and respect at school and beyond. To help build upon this momentum, we participated by spreading kindness throughout our community and those communities surrounding us.
All students participated in their classrooms throughout the week, they were invited to do the same at home. Spread the kindness to family, members, neighbors, neighboring communities, and even through social media! This was a great opportunity for our students to think of others, which teachers empathy and compassion.
The 5th & 6th graders invited the Wilber Police department and Fire department to the school to thank them. They presented each of the groups with a box of goodies and a Thank you banner.
